ABOUT US First Eleven magazine is written for the parents of children in independent education from nursery school to university. Our writers'’ remit, many of whom are also parents, is to inform, inspire and provide insight. We bring you news, views and opinions on all aspects of modern education and parenting both in school and out of it.
The magazine is published each term, but the website is updated monthly with an editorial blog and parents' opinions. With first-hand research and close links with the schools, we are uniquely positioned to provide a daily forum for interactive debate between parents, schools, pupils and educational experts on all topical issues concerning independent education.
The Summer term is always cause for celebration as schools open their doors to parents, and pupils, free of exams at last, entertain us with speech days, plays and sports days. Exams are top of the agenda at the moment and we have plenty of ideas and advice on how to manage them, as well as on how to handle the university interview when you have passed them. This term is especially exciting for First Eleven as we are launching our London issue alongside our National one. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we did putting it together and would love to hear from you with ideas and comments. Please send us tips for other parents, which we can post on the web or include in the next magazine. Finally do have a look at our readers offers including an incredible offer from the Anassa Hotel in Crete and a wonderfully relaxing spa opportunity from the Stoke Hotel, Bucks. Enjoy the summer.
